Successful vendors make a successful marketplace. 868.Market wants your store to be a success. However, just having products available online, doesn’t necessarily mean sales will roll in. We extensively promote our marketplace to ensure that the site gets in front of the maximum number of customers.

With many vendors in overall, and with many vendors selling in the same product category, if you get customers to land on products, then they should be compelling enough to close the sale.

Many vendors may be experienced or savvy enough to ensure that they have the following:

1. OPTIMAL VENDOR STOREFRONT

This is achieved by ensuring that your Store Settings page is properly filled out, which includes:

• Well designed banner image
• Use of profile image
• Setting your store categories
• Providing your contact info- phone, email
• Writing a compelling About section in the Biography area

2. OPTIMAL PRODUCT CATALOG

Assuming you do a great job with the above that the customer can learn enough to have confidence in you as a vendor. The other equally important element is your product catalog. Your products must be positioned optimally to be attractive to the shopper. This includes elements such as:

• Product titles- In addition to keeping our standard of being in Proper Case, your title text itself must be attractively phrased
• Short and Long descriptions- very general and factual product info isn’t always compelling, it is always helpful to add verbiage that ‘sells’
• Search Engine Optimization (SEO)-The product entry page has an SEO section where you can configure product specific info search engines pull if a customer searches for your product keyword, which you also specify.

DO IT YOURSELF

You can do all of the above yourself; the vendor area is designed to be intuitive and self explanatory. As a vendor, your monthly subscription provides you with access to our marketplace and ability to manage your store and products on your own, with the requirement that you abide by our terms and conditions.
